Hey guys! I realize it has been a minute since I've checked in. I wanted to update you about what's happening in the world of MCW and Dr. Jillaine. .
I have been refraining from seeing wellness patients at this time, in order to keep as many of my much loved patients healthy at this time. I am continuing to take urgent/acute patients. Meaning, if you have a complaint that keeps you from performing your normal activities of daily living, I will gladly see you to keep you functioning and help ease pain. .
I am also offering Telehealth sessions available via Zoom. These are 20-30 minute sessions where we can discuss strategies to help decrease pain and increase function; such as stretches, exercises, heat/cold recommendations, dietary and nutritional advice, etc. Call or text to schedule, just like usual. .
I have been making us of this extra time to help develop an online fitness training program, along with fellow certified personal trainer Sarah Nicomedes. Together, we have created @madeformore.fit to help people continue with their health and wellness goals, right from their own home. This is an at-home subscription based workout program requiring little to no equipment with modifications for all skill levels. I have wanted to offer something like this for years, and if there is one good thing to to come of all of this chaos, for me this program is it. .
Also, stay tuned for various collaborations with other health and wellness advocates. We are doing our best to spread information, love, and light via as many resources as possible. .
I hope you're all staying well and taking care of yourselves and loved ones. Truly, the best way we can care for others is to make sure that we are the best versions of ourselves - eat well, sleep well, move well, think well. MCW is celebrating THREE years!! .
In March of 2017 I (Dr. Jillaine) made the decision to go rogue and try something unconventional. MCW hasn't looked back since! .
Here are some of the highlights from this past year:
I had the honor of presenting mobile chiropractic care at the 2019 FCA conference in Florida with some of my fellow mobile chiropractors. The business has sponsored a hockey team with a winning record. We opened up office space inside of Boise Fitness Center to expand our reach and ability to help more people. I have volunteered at golf tournaments and race events to provide free recovery work to athletes. I have treated patients in their homes, offices, apartments, fitness studios, and even at a truck stop... proving that mobile chiropractic truly DOES go anywhere.

This past year has shown the results of the hard work it took to get here- last week was the most productive week in practice yet! And I have all of you to thank. My practice members, those who may be following on social media and sharing our info. Those that I've met through networking and marketing. My fellow HC docs. And my #1 fan, my husband. ALL OF YOU have helped make this business the success that it is!

With all of the chaos around, it's been extremely humbling to remember just how blessed I am to have the encouragement and support that I do. Thank you for being a part of my life and my journey. I look forward to many more years with you all ❤

These aren't the typical places you think of when you think chiropractic care, but this is what mobile is about. It's about meeting people when and where it's convenient for them. People who otherwise not be able to get the care they need.⁣⁣

Mobile chiropractic care is for people who can't leave the house due to pain. And people in the middle of a softball tournament they don't want to miss out on. People working in construction who have deadlines to make/can't take time away from the project. Teachers whose office hours keep them at work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.⁣⁣

It's for people whose time is just as precious as their money. For people who don't want to battle traffic, deal with waiting rooms, or load their kids up to bring with to their doctor visit. It's for anyone who needs care without the hassle.⁣⁣

5 facts you may not have known about Dr. Jillaine 🖐

North Dakota is her home state. She was born and raised in Jamestown (famous for being home to the world's largest buffalo), completed her undergrad at NDSU in Fargo, and lived there until 2008. You betcha. ⁣
.⁣
Dr. Jillaine received her chiropractic degree from NWHSU in Bloomington, MN. There she was active as a fitness center attendee, teacher's assistant, and a member of student senate. ⁣
.⁣
In addition to being a chiropractor, she is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She teaches 5 and 6 a.m. classes 3 days a week at a fitness studio in Meridian, as well as helping individuals via online personal training. ⁣
.⁣
She has two rescue dogs, Cooper and Wiley. Cooper is a lab pit mix (and the laziest dog that ever lived), and Wiley is a border collie mix (the exact opposite of Cooper). They keep her and her husband busy and entertained daily.⁣
.⁣
Most of her favorite activities include being outdoors. Hiking, camping, backpacking, 4 wheeling, skiing... you name it. Which is why she absolutely loves getting to live in Idaho!!⁣

Normally you schedule an appointment, ask for time off, get in your car to drive 10, 20, or 30 minutes...then sit in a waiting room until you're put into ANOTHER room to wait for the doc to see you...and then end up with maybe 5 minutes of face to face time with your provider. Afterward, you get to turn around and do the same process in reverse. Bleh. .
When I come to you, I eliminate the need to ask for time off- I can see you on your lunch or 15 minute break! You don't need to deal with traffic- I'll handle that! There is NO wait time- I'm ready to see you at your scheduled appointment time. You get 30 minutes of care DIRECTLY with me- not an office assistant. And when we are all finished, you get to go right back to life- no need to build that stress and tension back up by dealing with traffic again. .

How many times do we tell ourselves that buying fresh produce is more expensive than the frozen pizzas or microwave meals? That taking the time to make some meals at home takes longer than going through the drive thru? That the gym membership is too expensive and we don't have the time? That seeing the chiropractor for your chronic pain is too spendy, so you'll just pop some ibuprofen instead?

We do it all the time. And it might SEEM like it's faster or cheaper, but in the long run what is the actual cost? Is ignoring your health now worth being on medication down the road? Is it worth feeling winded going up the stairs, or not being able to keep up with your grandchildren? Is ignoring your back pain or that numbness in your feet worth a potential surgery down the road?

Scraping/Graston is a great therapy to help decrease muscle tightness and increase joint range of motion. This is one of many tools in our toolbox that we love incorporating into patient care 🛠⁣

We use this in conjunction with other manual muscle work and chiropractic adjustments to give our patients the best possible chance of healing from injuries and pain flare ups. 😖⁣

The goal of scraping is to stimulate blood flow to damaged tissues. By applying varying amounts of pressure to the area, directly on the skin, the tool affects the muscle AND fascia to address potential issues in both of these tissues 💪🦵⁣

This is also a great tool to help aid in recovery from intense physical activity and sports. Our athletes LOVE this as a part of their performance prehab routine 🏋️‍♀️⁣

We have the pleasure of visiting this location once a month to provide #wellness care to the company's employees. They have a few beautiful spaces available for us to use, and this room is one of our favorites!

As you can see, we don't need a ton of room to provide treatment. After all, Dr. Jillaine's primary tools are her hands 👐 As long as we can unfold the portable table, we can make it work.
