Calf Raises Calf, Lower body strengthening Calf raises, 3 ways. When looking for ways to mix up your routine, you can make some really simple tweaks to #challenge yourself in new ways. One way I like to do that is by changing the angle of a basic exercise. By pointing my toes in or out, I'm challenging my muscles as well as working on my #balance and #proprioception. Think about it- when you're using your calves throughout the day (walking, bending, jumping) are your feet always pointed straight ahead in perfect alignment with your hips/pelvis? Chances are, probably not…mixing things up a bit can mimic real life activities more accurately. #trainforlife Side note: Strengthening my calves is going to be really important for me as I continue to get #robieready (due to the amount of uphill terrain).
